Obtuvo el Premio Roma 1993-1994 (Pensionado en la Academia Española de Historia, Arqueología y Bellas Artes en Roma). Ha sido Profesor de Paisaje y Urbanismo en la Escuela de Arquitectura de Alicante (2000-2003), y actualmente es Profesor de Construcción (cuarto curso) en la Escuela Superior de Arte y Arquitectura de la Universidad Europea de Madrid (desde el curso 2005-2006)<br /><br /><br />Sus proyectos han sido seleccionados para diversas exposiciones, entre las que sobresalen la I Exposición de Arquitectura Medioambiental-Bioclimática/Ecológica/Sostenible, la I Bienal Europea del Paisaje, la VIII Muestra de jóvenes Arquitectos Españoles, la VIII Bienal de Arquitectura Española, así como la IV Bienal Europea de Paisaje.<br /><br /><br />Entre sus Proyectos urbanos y de paisaje destaca el Campus Universitario del Bierzo, en Ponferrada (Premio trianual COAL de Urbanismo, paisaje y diseño urbano 2004, Premio en Urbanismo, Diseño Urbano y Paisaje dentro de la 5ª Convocatoria de los Premios de Arquitectura de Castilla y León (2004), y Seleccionado para la IV Bienal Europea de Paisaje (2006)), la elaboración del Plan Especial Rivera de Gata, del que fue redactor, que fue seleccionado por el Comité Español “HABITAT” para representar a España en el Tercer Concurso Internacional de Naciones Unidas “Buenas Prácticas” de Urbanismo (1999-2000), la Ampliación del Cementerio de Moraleja, Cáceres, que ha sido seleccionada por la Fundación Camuñas para la VIII Muestra de jóvenes Arquitectos Españoles (2004), para la VIII Bienal de Arquitectura Española (2005), así como para la IV Bienal Europea de Paisaje (2006).<br /><br /><br />Colaboró durante años con su padre, José A. Fernández-Ordóñez, en intervenciones en la Naturaleza y el Territorio a gran escala, en urbanismo y en la Ingeniería Civil. Entre ellas sobresalen el Proyecto de Eduardo Chillida para la Montaña de Tindaya, del que actualmente es Director (ver www.tindaya-chillida.com), la rehabilitación del “Caminito del Rey” en Málaga (Seleccionado para la I Bienal Europea del Paisaje (1999)), y la Pasarela peatonal frente al Museo Guggenheim, en Bilbao (Seleccionada para la IV Bienal de Paisaje (2006)).<br /><br /><br />Desde el año 2000 dirige su propio estudio en el que ha desarrollado proyectos como la El Centro de Documentación de la Poesía Española del siglo XX, de la Fundación Gerardo Diego en Santander, El Parque de la Rambla en Cartagena, Concurso Nacional (Premio Único) (1999), la propuesta para Altavista, junto con el escultor Martín Chirino y la ampliación del Paseo Marítimo de las Canteras, ambas en Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, el Edificio Bioclimático de oficinas para el EREN (Ente Regional de la Energía de Castilla y León) fruto de un Primer Premio de Concurso Nacional (1998), y que ha obtenido recientemente un Accésit en el Primer Premio de Edificación Sostenible de Castilla y León 2005-2006, y el Edifico de Aulario en el Campus de Ponferrada, también fruto de un Primer Premio de Concurso Nacional (1999). He received the Roma Award in 1993-1994 (Grant holder in the Spanish Academy of History, Archaeology and Fine Arts in Rome). He has taught Landscape and Urbanism at the School of Architecture in Alicante (2000-2003), and at the moment he teaches Construction (forth year) in the School of Arts and Architecture in the European University of Madrid, U.E.M.
